Unbelievable! Why didn't DEN planners plan on a taller height for the bridge so they don't impede aircraft? And rather than spend all this money on consultants with laser gizmos to measure heights, why don't they just tow a damn empty A318 to the spot, slowly maneuver the tail up to the bridge, and have someone on a bucket truck or something measure the difference between the tail height and the bottom of the bridge on the centerline and maybe 3 or 4 feet in each direction in case they have a drunk flight crew someday that can't stay on the centerline? If it fits, it fits. If it doesn't, it doesn't. So simple but they have to complicate it to death at significant expense. And if an empty one fits then they know that one with fuel, people and cargo will fit because it will sit lower. Of course compacted snow will raise the elevation of the ramp so maybe they could ban the area to A318 when there is snow on the ground.
