They still fly the daily 777 to NRT.  SJC is not so much a hub, as it is a
place where they have a presence

Again, while these can feed their NRT flights for AAdvantage members, The SNA
PAX could always drive the 40 minutes to LAX and catch one of something like
6 non-stops a day to NRT (including JAL, who give AA miles).  I think these
are alternatives to the WN service to SJC and OAK, as well as UA's SFO services
