I think National experimented with all-cargo service at one time in a market or two and either leased the 727 from Airlift or had Airlift operate the service for them and National wanted their name on the aircraft. Obviously it didn't last too long. Perhaps one of the old-timers can recall the specifics on the situation. It occurred during times of regulation by the C.A.B. so perhaps there's an old route authority somewhere for a National all-cargo route.
