I'm going out on a limb and saying you are talking about DEN's proposed 16,000 feet runway. The Kennedy Space Center's runway is 15,000 plus 1,000 overruns on both ends, for a total of 17,000 feet. Edwards Air Force Base has several dry lake bed runways, of which the longest, part of the Rogers Dry Lake, is 7.5 statue miles long. Technically speaking, there are probably (wet) lakes, bays, etc, that have long landing areas. David R > Is this the longest runway ever? This is why they have 747s after all
