6 summer Concorde flights Nation News - Friday 13, June-2003 Barbados will have another six Concorde flights for summer before the supersonic airline stops flying to the destination on August 30. British Airways' manager for the South Caribbean, Elvin Sealy, told local hoteliers yesterday that although the airline would cease service to Barbados in August, Concorde would continue to operate to New York until October 30 when it would be formally retired. Sealy, speaking at the BHTA's annual general meeting at Sherbourne Conference Centre, said Air France had already retired its Concorde fleet and there was no truth to rumours that another carrier would be operating the retired Concorde fleet. Seeking to allay concerns about a loss of seats to Barbados with the retirement of these aircraft, Sealy reported that for the 2003-2004 winter season British Airways will operate a 747 or 777 aircraft from Heathrow in England. *************************************************** The owner of Roger's Trinbago Site/TnTisland.com Roj (Roger James) escape email mailto:ejames@xxxxxxxxx Trinbago site: www.tntisland.com Carib Brass Ctn site www.tntisland.com/caribbeanbrassconnection/ Steel Expressions www.mts.net/~ejames/se/ Mas Site: www.tntisland.com/tntrecords/mas2003/ Site of the Week: http://www.carib-link.net/naparima/naps.html TnT Webdirectory: http://search.co.tt *********************************************************
