Matthew: I've considered Providence too, but haven't been there yet. (I live in Cambridge, next to Boston) But now, as you said, the Big Dig (new tunnels) are open now and the driving seems a bit easier. The airport itself is still undergoing everything, but the new roadways; concrete ribbon highways that rise and fall in graceful curves, is coming along quite nicely. But for those pax South of Boston, PVD is still a serious consideration. And more so, those pax North of Boston, Manchester deserves a second thought, too!
