According to ATW, it looks like the deal for Thai to buy 7 of the 14 UA 744s stashed at Victorville has fallen through. It appears that UA's creditors are blocking the deal. I find this weird, since conjecture has been that the only planes to survive a UA liquiation would be the 777s and A319/A320s. You would think they would go for the deal, as $330 million is pretty damn good for 10 or so year old heavies That was going to be a sweetheart deal for Thai, as they want to expand capacity and $330 million instead of around $1 billion is a big difference. The 422s are PW equipped, just like Thai's current fleet. It does not look like anyone else is divesting of 744s currently, so Thai is going to really have to look at what they want to do
