The problem with this is that if the Federal Government un-did all of=20 the dumb things they've done to make matters worse (and they've done a=20= good number of them), Air Canada would still be in a fairly dire=20 straits. You can't legislate/un-legislate Air Canada out of numerous poor=20 decisions, lower-quality that needed management and outrageous labour=20 contracts!
