Passengers suffer minor injuries in bumpy flight from Houston FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) =97 Three passengers were taken to a hospital=20 Thursday for injuries suffered when a Continental Airlines flight from=20 Houston hit turbulence over the Florida Panhandle, officials said. The=20 passengers, adults whose identities were not released, suffered minor=20 injuries and were in good condition at Broward General Medical Center,=20 where they were taken as a precaution, said Broward County fire-rescue=20 spokesman Todd Leduc. The flight encountered some "unexpected bumps" over=20 Crestview about 1{ hours into the trip, Continental spokesman Rahsaan=20 Johnson said. The flight was not diverted because the injured passengers=20 said they were well enough to make the more than 580 miles that remained in= =20 the trip, Johnson said. Pilots called ahead to make sure emergency crews=20 were waiting when the plane landed at 1:59 p.m. at Fort=20 Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, Johnson said.
