Continental to close some ticket offices, add fees CHICAGO (Reuters) ? Continental Airlines Friday said it was closing six ticket offices across the country, would close six more by June and would begin charging a $10 service fee for transactions at the remaining 35 ticket offices. The Houston-based airline said lease expirations resulted in the closures of its ticket offices in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix and Lisle, Illinois. The carrier said an additional six offices in Houston, New York, Orlando and Denver would close by June when their leases expire. The service fee applies to purchases and changes to tickets at the city ticket offices, but will not apply to transactions on the airline's Web site, www.continental.com, or at a Continental Airlines airport ticket counter, the carrier said. *************************************************** The owner of Roger's Trinbago Site/TnTisland.com Roj (Roger James) escape email mailto:ejames@xxxxxxxxx Trinbago site: www.tntisland.com Carib Brass Ctn site www.tntisland.com/caribbeanbrassconnection/ Steel Expressions www.mts.net/~ejames/se/ Site of the Week: http://www.pscutt.com TnT Webdirectory: http://search.co.tt *********************************************************
