On the NYSE they will get the boot if they trade under
a $1.00 I think or a lower amount for a certain period
of time. Then they might go into the "pinksheets"
(www.pinksheets.com)and trade there.

The Toronto Stock Exchange may have their own rules.
During bankruptcies, the shareholder tends to loose
out. Bond holders, however, often get 50 cents on the
dollar.
