NW is probably doing what AC did, as aircraft need to be repainted, they
will be done so in the new livery, it won't be a case of let's get all
of the aircraft repainted ASAP.

This stinks!

And isn't NW rolling-out a new livery very soon?
This sounds a lot like what British Airways did a few
years back.  In fact, this exec bonsus practice in the
face of major layoffs and dwindling profits is
becoming a way of life now in corporate America.
