Air Canada to Implement Flexible Rebooking Policy in the Event of Military Conflict with Iraq MONTREAL, March 11 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada today confirmed it would provide customers with greater flexibility to make changes to travel dates on discounted tickets in the event of military conflict with Iraq. Air Canada's "Peace of Mind" policy would allow holders of discounted tickets for travel booked during a 30 day period following the onset of war to postpone travel without penalty to a later date until December 31, 2003. The policy applies to U.S. transborder and international travel on Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz, Tango and Air Canada codeshare flights operated by Star Alliance partners as well as Aeroplan reward travel. Regular travel restrictions on discounted tickets would continue to apply for travel within Canada. "In light of the current uncertainty in the marketplace, we are offering a 'Peace of Mind' policy to reassure our customers making future travel plans to the United States and international destinations," said Bill Bredt, Vice President, Network and Revenue Management. "We want our customers to know that they can continue making travel plans with full confidence that they may postpone travel to a later date without penalty, if circumstances warrant." To be eligible, customers who choose to postpone their travel will need to contact Air Canada prior to their originally scheduled departure, in the event of military conflict. Future reservations will be subject to availability and applicable fare rules. Air Canada will continue monitoring the situation closely and will communicate any further changes to its policies, as necessary. *************************************************** The owner of Roger's Trinbago Site/TnTisland.com Roj (Roger James) escape email mailto:ejames@xxxxxxxxx Trinbago site: www.tntisland.com Carib Brass Ctn site www.tntisland.com/caribbeanbrassconnection/ Steel Expressions www.mts.net/~ejames/se/ Site of the Week: http://www.tha.gov.tt/ TnT Webdirectory: http://search.co.tt *********************************************************
