Continental Airlines Announces New Nonstop Caribbean Service From New York Area




    HOUSTON, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Continental Airlines
(NYSE: CAL) today announced it will begin nonstop service June 12 from its New
York hub at Newark Liberty International to Port of Spain in the Caribbean
nation of Trinidad and Tobago.
    One daily flight will depart Liberty International at 4:05 p.m., arriving
in Port of Spain at 9:25 p.m.  Return service from Port of Spain begins
June 13.  The flight will depart at 8:50 a.m., arriving at Liberty
International at 2:05 p.m.  Continental will operate a 155-seat Boeing 737-
800, with flights timed for convenient connections at Liberty to and from
dozens of destinations throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe.  Trinidad and
Tobago, one nation of two islands in the eastern Caribbean, is home to beaches
both rugged and serene, tropical rainforests and waterfalls.
