United pilots charge airline with seeking break-up CHICAGO (Reuters) =97 The union representing pilots at bankrupt UAL Corp.'s= =20 United Airlines Wednesday accused the No. 2 U.S. carrier of seeking to=20 break up the airline and sell off routes, aircraft and other assets to an=20 unidentified company. United is expected to disclose details of its=20 restructuring plan =97 including specifics on the launch of a new low-cost= =20 carrier =97 to its unions and creditors this week. (Relates story: UAL seeks= =20 more time to find lenders) Chief Executive Glenn Tilton has been criticized= =20 by employee groups for not offering more details about how the airline=20 plans to emerge from bankruptcy as a strong competitor. The pilots said=20 they have been locked out of the negotiating process. "They appear to be=20 proposing a plan to break up United Airlines by giving United routes,=20 aircraft, and other assets to another company =97 with a whole set of new=20 managers and employees.
