Reuters, 01.13.03, 12:24 PM ET VIENNA, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Austrian Airlines said on Monday it had converted an existing order for a Boeing 777 long-range aircraft to an order for three medium-range 737-800s. Austrian, which had earlier delayed delivery of the 777 to 2005, said the new deal would see it take delivery of the three substitute models in 2005 and 2006 for subsidiary Lauda Air. Austrian did not disclose financial terms of the deal, which still requires formal approval from the airline's supervisory board. The 777 was originally ordered in 1996.
