Airline food sends eight flight attendants to hospital There are legions of travelers who say they can't stomach airline food, but they have nothing on eight British Airways flight attendants. Five women and three men, all flight crew members of British Airways Flight 69, were taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of apparent food poisoning after the plane landed in Philadelphia Thursday night, according to The Associated Press. They were treated for nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal cramps, hospital authorities said. The plane was carrying about 198 passengers and 14 crew members. The flight attendants eat a separate meal from that of both the pilots and the passengers; no passengers or members of the cockpit crew were thought to be affected.
