The Latin American routes would not be worth much, if anything. The US now has Open Skies agreements with most of the countries and in the case of Argentina and Brazil, the local economies are so bad that no airline wants to start service there. United also has some ownership in Galileo/Apollo and their flight training center in Denver, I would assume, is worth some big $$ with the flight sims. United has already been parking 747-400s and most aircraft valuations are so low that they're close to 50% of the aircraft's actual value. Thus, selling some of the fleet, while generating cash flow, would be at the sacrifice of the actual value for the airplane.
