Northwest agrees to mileage deal with Japan Airlines Northwest Airlines said Monday that members of its WorldPerks frequent flier program may begin redeeming benefits on domestic flights operated by Japan Airlines, beginning April 1. The agreement allows WorldPerks members to redeem 15,000 miles for round-trip Economy Class awards on JAL-operated domestic flights. In September, Northwest announced a separate agreement with Japanese carrier JAS that allows WorldPerks members to continue to earn and redeem miles on JAS domestic flights until March 31, 2004. Northwest operates a hub at Tokyo's Narita Airport that connects several U.S. gateways to destinations throughout Asia.
