Maybe extra section
ATC Computers would not permit two identical Aircraft Identifications
(ACID)in the system.  It also is done when the original light is so late
that they start another aircraft on the route segment rather than delay all
the boarding passengers.  Several other options but this ounds the most
plausible to me.  My WAG would be the D stands for delayed.
