Korean (along with China Airlines of Taiwan) has had recent difficulties
with safety issues. Working with Delta and I believe Air France, they
seem to have gotten better. Korean was part of the original four
airlines in the SkyTeam Alliance (AeroMexico, Air France, Korean Air,
Delta) but at the time Delta was not codesharing on KE-operated
flights. They do now, however.
