On Saturday, I flew Great Lakes from MSP to ORD. Great Lakes actually has the lowest fare between MSP and ORD, although, because the flight goes via IWD and IMT instead of nonstop, only people on this list are likely to take them all the way from MSP to ORD. Great Lakes uses gates at Mesaba's gorgeous new terminal at MSP, instead of UA's gates, and they have their own ticket counter at MSP. However, UA boarding pass stock was used, and the inflight magazine was UA's Hemispheres magazine. At ORD, Great Lakes uses gate F-1, a gate they share with Air Wisconsin in the "old" United terminal. So, although Great Lakes may not codeshare with UA on all flights, there is definitely a strong United "influence".
