Any chances that the AC fare and UA fare are for rides on the same metal? That would really be an insult. We all know about point-to-point fare structures rather than the route actually taken, but I was on the return leg of a LGA-YYZ-YVR trip that costs me $1800USD (or so.) My neighboring passengers heading out of LGA were heading through YYZ to HKG. Their fare? $850USD round trip. The kicker? Their plane went through YVR.
