You can't blame Air Canada for that one. It's probably one of the few things
you can't blame them for.  The difference in the taxes would have been for
the Canadian Security tax of $24.00 and the rest you can blame Uncle Sam
for.  They are all U.S. taxes.  Most notibly you are paying for the
priveledge of going through U.S. Customs and Immigration and some other fees
because your Gov't considers the first 200 or so miles of Canada to be in
the U.S.
