Makes sense.

One of TWA=B9s failings was that their credit rating was so poor, their =8Ccost
of funds=B9 or =8Cborrowing costs=B9 were so high that they could never compete.
AA had/(has?) a much better rating and a lower cost of funds that it=B9s
cheaper to buy out the leases.
