Yep...I agree completely...don't read into the reason too deeply. (I did misread something myself in the flifo.) I just got on nwa.com and got the clear picture. Diversion and delay are appearantly in the same category. The flight was obviously delayed by wx, but was ground stopped by ATC...so ops decided to categorize it as such. Walter DCA Departs: DTW Arrives: DAY Gate: B2 Gate: B18 Scheduled: 9:20PM Scheduled: 10:24PM Actual: 11:18PM Estimated: 10:23PM Aircraft: RJ-85 Weather: DAY Note: Diversion/delay due to air traffic conditions. Flight left the gate at 11:18PM but has not taken off. ----- Original Message ----- From: "allan9" <exatc@neo.rr.com> To: <AIRLINE@LISTSERV.CUNY.EDU> Sent: Thursday, June 06, 2002 22:16 Subject: Re: [Sky-1] Re: NW Question > Walter, > To clarify ATC doesn't divert aircraft.
