Yep...I agree completely...don't read into the reason too deeply.  (I did
misread something myself in the flifo.)
I just got on nwa.com and got the clear picture. Diversion and delay are
appearantly in the same category.  The flight was obviously delayed by wx,
but was ground stopped by ATC...so ops decided to categorize it as such.

Departs: DTW   Arrives: DAY


Gate: B2   Gate: B18

Scheduled: 9:20PM   Scheduled: 10:24PM

Actual: 11:18PM   Estimated: 10:23PM

Aircraft: RJ-85   Weather: DAY

Note:  Diversion/delay due to air traffic conditions.
Flight left the gate at 11:18PM but has not taken off.
