Re: U.S. Won't Allow Guns in Cockpits

1. Many, if not most, airline pilots are either
currently in the military (i.e. National Guard/AF
reserve) or are ex-military. Therefore, they have
weapons training. Many times, this would be better
training than the air marshalls.

2. The pilots would be given training specifically on
the use of weapons in aircraft

3. A locked cockpit door will not stop a terrorist
wanting to get into the cockpit. However, once it
(yes, "it" for a terrorist is not human) gets into the
cockpit, it would be good to have a final line of defense

4. The reason this nation still has most of its
freedoms is because its citizens are armed. There are
countless numbers of incidents where the homeowner with
a gun has pervented injuries/robberies from criminals.

5. Up until just a few years ago, pilots were allowed
to carry weapons in the cockpit. This fact seems to be
conveniently overlooked by the media and the idiots we
call representatives and senators.

6. If a pilot's job is the "safety of transporting the
pax... from point A to point B," doesn't that
automatically include the pax's security?
