(AP) Reno is going to see a return of Allegiant Air. The Fresno, Calif.,-based airline is coming back May 19 with twice-daily service between Reno and Fresno. The carrier served Reno with flights to Fresno and Portland, Oregon, for five months in 2000, before suddenly pulling out in December of that year. It also ended flights to South Lake Tahoe. Days later it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Allegiant emerged from bankruptcy last fall and its case was officially closed earlier this year. Its flights typically will be on Thursday and Sunday.
