This isn't entirely true, either. It's very common for ticketing
agents of all sizes to give away part of their commission. So, if a
sub-agent makes a booking with an IATA or ARC agent, he might have got
six or even seven of the nine percent commission earned by the
ticketing agent.

Incidentally, the corporate clients could well lose out if they used
to get a rebate of the commission that their business travel agents
earned.
