Continental Airlines Is Top-Ranked Commercial Airline on FORTUNE's 'All
Stars' List of Most Admired Global Companies

HOUSTON, Mar 5, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Continental
Airlines (CAL) ranked No. 30, the highest-ranking commercial airline, on the
Top 50 "All Stars" list of the World's Most Admired Companies by FORTUNE
magazine, up from its previous rank of No. 48. Executives, boards of
directors and analysts from 26 industries ranked the companies for the All
Stars list.

Separately, FORTUNE ranked companies within their own industry. On the
airline industry list of the World's Most Admired Companies, Continental was
the top-ranked U.S. airline, ranking No. 2 behind Singapore Airlines (No. 50
on the All Stars list). Airline executives, boards of directors and analysts
ranked the top airlines in the world according to nine criteria, including
quality of management, quality of products and services, and financial
soundness.
