America West to resume non-stop Vegas to Washington service

   (02-19) 11:04 PST (AP) -- PHE filed
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- America West Airlines plans to resume non-stop service
between Las Vegas and Washington, D.C., next week, the airline said. The
flights had been suspended after Sept. 11.
Executives for the Tempe, Ariz.-based airline say the resumption of the
flight to Reagan National Airport is part of the gradual restoration of
flights at the Washington airport, which was shut down for three weeks
after the terrorist attacks.
The first America West non-stop from McCarran International Airport to
Reagan National will take off Feb. 27. America West plans one daily
round-trip flight between the two cities.
