WASHINGTON, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Investment adviser Capital Research and Management Co. has taken a 10 percent stake in Continental Airlines Inc. (CAL), according to regulatory filings made on Thursday. Capital Research owns 5.57 million shares of the Houston, Texas-based airline, according to the Securities and Exchange Commission filing. Shares in Continental closed at $30 on the New York Stock Exchange.
