further news from Italy in this issue:

AIR DOLOMITI expect the delivery in 2002 of further two airliners from 20 to
22 airliners in fleet. Before 2004 are expected further 5 new aircrafts. The
previously business plan has forecasted a fleet of 21 aircrafts in 2004.
The new business strategy will be focalized to the increase of the market
presence. The fast expansion of the network wille be with the addition of
new point to point flights to the major european capitols, the increase of
the presence in Munich and the opening of new flights to Frankfurt, and an
again important role in Star Alliance.

AIR VALLEE add the third Do328JET with a special Casino de la Vallee livery.
The new timetable with new flights from Bologna to
Bari/Brindisi/Geneve/Nice/Crotone/Rome FCO, Rome FCO-Crotone/Reggio Calabria
to be postoponed on Jan. 21st. 2002.

ALBANIAN AIRLINES has leased a Tu154M, today in service on the route
Bologna-Tirama to cover the Christmas period demand between Albania to Italy
(Bologna). The aircraft is in Balkan basic c/s and Hemus Air titles.

ALITALIA has choose Lazard as advisor for the issue of bonds  to improve the
stake capital for the new fleet renewal especially for the soon coming
aircraft as B777, the first exrimated in delivery in April 2002. Lazard has
winned other interested merchant bankings as Imi, Credit Suisse, Merril
Linch. Lazar has to study the problematics connected to the use of the
financial markets, the possibility extimated before the end of the first
half 2002.
The chairman Mengozzi has studied to issue bonds for 1,2-1,4 billions of
Euro necessary to improve the capital of Alitalia without to have problems
with the Transport european commission.

BLUE PANORAMA AIRLINES is the new lunch start up partner of Afriqiyah
Airways the new Lybian flag carrier. Two B737/400 was wet leased to the new
carrier at the moment for this winter season and the new carrier will fly
from Tripoli to
Benghazi (Libia), Khartoum (Sudan), Niamey (Nigeria), Accra (Ghana), Bamako
(Mali), Ndjamena (Chad), Bangui (Repubblica of Centrafrica), Ouagadougou
(Burkina Faso).
Yesterday the airline has converted its stake capital from ITL to Euro.

DAT with effect April 6th. 2002 increase from three to four daily flights on
the route Florence-Bruxelles.

financial invoice of 200 billions of ITL and 700.000 passengers carried. In
2001 the airline plans to report a consolidated year invoice of 100 billions
of ITL and 300.000 passengers carried.

M.E.A. will resume regular flights from Beirut to Milan Mxp with effect
January 2002.

MERIDIANA has planned a meeting of the board of directors on Dec. 19th. 2001.
With effect Jan. 4th. 2002 drop the route Paris CDG-Florence due to the poor
load factor registered on the route recently after the Sept. 11th. event and
the codeshare agreement signed between Air France and Alitalia, on this
route are in service six daily rotations.

PANAIR - COMPAGNIA AEREA MEDITERRANEA has start on Dec 14th. 2001 four daily
rotation on each leg on the route Palermo-Rome FCO with B737/300.

VOLARE GROUP has recently renowed its commercial division with the addition
of new managers as:
Lorenzo LORENTI, 54 years, director of VOLARE AIRLINES in Sardinia,
previously ground operations director in Alpi Eagles, director in Sardinia
for Alisarda, regional director for South Italy in Itavia.
Maurizio DEL SANTORO  40 years, is the new marketing manager of the group
with previously manager experiences for 14 years in the same market in
Austrian Airlines and 2 years for Alitalia.
Umberto SOLIMENO, 38 years is the new manager area director in Italy
central-south, previously in KLM for 9 years as representative for South
Italy , Passengers division manager, Central-South Italy area manager.
General manager in Italy for Air Littoral.
Paola DE ANGELIS, 44 years, sales manager for Rome and Lazio, previously in
Italair as commercial division manager, and for various tour operators.
