The main idea with hidden is for things like "base", where it's
assumed the user doesn't need to see it. But even that might not be
true now we have groups as objects.
not sure what it means to say "groups are objects" (still reading
and catching up a *lot* on yum as i switch back to fedora), but it
would seem that there's little rationale for virtualization (and
possibly others) being hidden -- seems like a perfectly respectable
group that people might decide they want or not.
anyway, back to reading ... more questions coming.
