Re: Creating complete repository

I suspect the reason I am seeing multiple entries is that the repositories I am using are local ones.  They are refreshed daily, but I suspect older versions of the RPMs are not deleted.  None of the i686 RPMs are installed locally, but they can be found in the repository.

However, even if this is cleaned up, it won't fix my original problem because both dropbox and sqlite are x86_64 in the output of my commands, so it shouldn't make any difference.

What should I expect for the output of these?

rpm -q python

rpm -q glibc

rpm based systems should only have one version of an rpm&libs,
usually the most recent unless a very compelling reason not to.

multiarch

try rpm -qa | grep i686
