Here's the error snippet when trying to patch on RHEL 4.

/usr/local/lib/python2.4/site-packages/rpmUtils/transaction.py", line 69, in getMethod
    return getattr(self.ts, method)
AttributeError: 'rpm.ts' object has no attribute 'problems'

4.3.3 is in RHEL 4. That fails for me on the actual rpm install transaction. I don't have the failure in front of me right now. 4.2.1 or 4.2.3 are used on RHEL 3. I'm using yum-security on these boxes and I'm very pleased with the output, but there a few dependency issues with the older version I was using (3.2.8) that disappear when using 3.2.21 on RHEL 5, I was hoping to take advantage of those improvements.

Would rpm 4.3.3 fall under that category of later version of rpm or is too old as well?

I think 4.3.3 should work but umm - what distro is this?
