Re: multithreaded package download

hello,
i have downloaded the yum source code through git.
I want to do two things( as discussed in previous mails)

1)multiple parts download of a single rpm file from a server which
would increase overall download speed especially of the large sized
packages.

2) simultaneous downloads of two or more packages from different
mirrors; which would again make process faster in case when a large
number of small sized packages are to be downloaded(sizes 20kb 50kb).

Which are the files i need to study for the above download related work ??
any suggestions on basic functions and utilities of the source that
would be mandatory to go through??
