The idea was to: - download only the required rpms to complete the upgrade {often lots less than a full DVD}. - download the boot/installer part - configure the boot/installer part as a grub selection When you are ready, you reboot, and the normal anaconda installer boots, knows it's an upgrade and performs the upgrade {with required packages already downloaded}.
