I upgraded Fedora from 6 to 8 and yum is not working. I have tried installing the yum and python packages again but this has not helped. $ yum There was a problem importing one of the Python modules required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was: /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/_sqlitecache.so: undefined symbol: g_string_chunk_insert_len Please install a package which provides this module, or verify that the module is installed correctly. It's possible that the above module doesn't match the current version of Python, which is: 2.5.1 (r251:54863, Oct 30 2007, 13:54:11) [GCC 4.1.2 20070925 (Red Hat 4.1.2-33)] Here are the installed packages. $ rpm -qa rpm\* yum\* python sqlite |sort python-2.5.1-15.fc8 rpm-4.4.2.2-3.fc8 rpm-build-4.4.2.2-3.fc8 rpm-devel-4.4.2.2-3.fc8 rpm-libs-4.4.2.2-3.fc8 rpm-python-4.4.2.2-3.fc8 sqlite-3.4.2-3.fc8 yum-3.2.7-1.fc8 yum-metadata-parser-1.1.2-1.fc8 yum-updatesd-0.7-1.fc8 yum-utils-1.1.8-1.fc8 Any help would be greatly appreciated.
