Please help: YUM Broken

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I have spent several weeks and after several posts to Fedora Core
mailing list, I am none the wiser, I understand the recomendation to
reinstall, but this is expensive for me to do that because of software
that I had help in building so I am hoping for one last ditch effort
in case anyone knows something I could try ...

I think my yum problems are related to my accidental removal of
site-packages directory.
I have tried to recover these but with no luck.
Synaptic for me works OK.
But I really want Yum to work.
Can someone please help?
[root@localhost rpm]# yum
There was a problem importing one of the Python modules
required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was:
