You should stick with yum version included with the repo. Each different
minor version (e.g. 2.2 vs 2.4) usually (though not always) requires
different version of python. Most likely you'd want to use
http://download.fedoralegacy.org/fedora/3/updates/i386/yum-2.2.2-0.fc3.noarch.rpm.

Try http://rpm.livna.org/configuration.html#Core3
http://fedoralegacy.org/ and http://fedoralegacy.org/download/ to look
for which repositories to add.
