I forced a re-install of python rpm from Fedora Then removed and re-installed these: libxml2-2.6.20-1.FC4 libxml2-python-2.6.20-1.FC4 Yum Up2Date (Not yet re-installed) And yet, it still won't work. I'm beside mysself as I checked and the version do match and the .so file has the same date it has had and worked under for 4 months. Even after re-install from a brand new downloaded RPM. Any ideas would certainly be GREATLY apreciated! "There was a problem importing one of the Python modules required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was: /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/libxml2mod.so: undefined symbol: xmlXIncludeProcessFlags Please install a package which provides this module, or verify that the module is installed correctly. It's possible that the above module doesn't match the current version of Python, which is: 2.4.1 (#1, May 16 2005, 15:19:29) [GCC 4.0.0 20050512 (Red Hat 4.0.0-5)]" ----- Original Message ----- From: "Greg Knaddison" <greg.knaddison@xxxxxxxxx> To: "Richard" <Richard@xxxxxxxxx> Cc: <Yum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>; <yum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, November 28, 2005 11:54 AM Subject: Re: Yum - Undefined Symbol Can you try removing yum, then rebuildling/reinstalling the latest yum package?
