Hello,

I keep getting this error. I have python 2.4.2
installed on Red Hat Enterprise WS 3. I am at a loss
for why it will not work.

[root@localhost root]# yum update
Could not find platform independent libraries <prefix>
Could not find platform dependent libraries
<exec_prefix>
Consider setting $PYTHONHOME to
<prefix>[:<exec_prefix>]
'import site' failed; use -v for traceback
There was a problem importing one of the Python
modules
required to run yum. The error leading to this problem
was:

   No module named yum

Please install a package which provides this module,
or
verify that the module is installed correctly.

It's possible that the above module doesn't match the
current version of Python, which is:
2.2.3 (#1, Aug 8 2003, 08:44:02)
[GCC 3.2.3 20030502 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.3-13)]

If you cannot solve this problem yourself, please send
this
message to <yum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank
you.

Brian
