[Yum] Keeping kernel modules in step with the kernel

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Yum very politely offers new kernels when I run check-update but
it doesn't seem to know about new kernel module packages to update
along with the new kernel. Would this fall under the special
handling rules or am I missing some clever configuration that would
notice what module rpms I have running with my current kernel and
offer to install both a newer kernel and the associated module packages
as an update?

I need the nvidia drivers and if there is automation for this in yum, it
would reduce the annoyance factor a bit. Plus it would impress my
family and amaze my friends.
