I am not sure I understand what you are saying. If I do rpm-ql yum
the python libs are in:

/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/yum
/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/repomd
/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/rpmUtils

If I do rpm -ql python the libs are in:
/usr/lib/python2.3
/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages
and others. 

They look the same to me. Am I answering the right question? I know zero
about python, so please go easy on me.
