Hi all,

I am trying to build yum-2.3.2-1 on el4.
It builds fine and installs on the machine but when I try to run it I get
the following:
(peabody pts7) # yum update
The yum libraries do not seem to be availableon your system for this version of python 2.3.4 (#1, Feb 2 2005, 11:44:49)
[GCC 3.4.3 20041212 (Red Hat 3.4.3-9.EL4)]
Please make sure the package you used to installyum was built for your install of python.
(peabody pts7) #

I do not understand this since the machine I am running it on is the machine
I built it on.

Can someone tell me what I have to do to fix the above error?

(peabody pts7) # rpm -qa | grep python
libxml2-python-2.6.16-6
rpm-python-4.3.3-7_nonptl
python-2.3.4-14.1
python-devel-2.3.4-14.1
python-sqlite-0.5.0-1.3.el4.mtd
...
(peabody pts7) #
