In that, this baseurl is not mentioned, so that's not related to those error messages. Are you using a proxy? This is one of those situations where I have to ask this question: are you doing anything else that we could consider "strange" that you haven't told us about? Wacky version of python, box has been continuously upgraded since RHL 6.1, hand-edited yum or python files? Also, Sean is correct that your distroverpkg is incorrect, but since you're not using any variables in your baseurl, it shouldn't really be causing any errors. -Michael > [main] > cachedir=/var/cache/yum > #cachedir=/home/mclark/x86_64updates > debuglevel=2 > logfile=/var/log/yum.log > pkgpolicy=newest > distroverpkg=redhat-release > tolerant=1 > exactarch=1 > retries=20 > > Contents of /etc/yum.conf > [base] > name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Base > baseurl=file:///home/mclark/x86_64updates/ > #baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/2/x86_64/os/ > > [updates-released] > name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Released Updates > baseurl=ftp://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/2/x86_64/ > > [updates-testing] > name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Unreleased Updates > baseurl=ftp://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/test/2.90/x8664/os/ > > [development] > name=Fedora Core $releasever - Development Tree > baseurl=ftp://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/development/x86_64/ -- Michael D.
