So in future versions of yum there will be some functionality to arbitrarily include files/urls inf your yum.conf ie: yum.conf: [main] ...normal stuff... include=http://mydomain/someyum-main.conf include=http://mydomain/someyum-update.conf if the above two locations were cgis that fed out the most common repositories and/or mirror lists then you could get pitched to a repository mirror almost at random w/o beating up this poor poor poor little duke server :) btw thanks to Ryan Tomayko for the include= functionality. anyway - the idea would be to have a script of some type to offer up the most common repository sections based on a list of mirrors. -sv
