I had done yum clean of everything. So I got fresh headers today. Is the progress meter while downloading new? Or is my memory that far gone? I couldn't figure out what it was from the my local server. But I saw it work getting packages from rawhide. Nice. I didn't clock it, but it seemed resolving dependencies took a LOT longer this time. It finished with: -----------< snip >---------- getting /var/cache/yum/rawhide/headers/bind-chroot-0-9.2.2.P3-5.i386.hdr bind-chroot-0-9.2.2.P3-5. 100% |=========================| 6.9 kB 00:00 Resolving dependencies ....Dependencies resolved I will do the following: [update: abiword 1:2.0.0-3.i386] I will install/upgrade these to satisfy the dependencies: [deps: libbonoboui 2.4.0-1.i386] [deps: GConf2 2.4.0-1.i386] [deps: libwpd 0.6.2-1.i386] [deps: libgnomeprint22 2.3.1-2.i386] [deps: fribidi 0.10.4-4.i386] [deps: gnome-vfs2 2.4.0-1.i386] [deps: libbonobo 2.4.0-1.i386] [deps: aspell-en 0.51-6.i386] [deps: eel2 2.4.0-1.i386] [deps: aspell 12:0.50.3-16.i386] [deps: gedit 1:2.4.0-2.i386] [deps: libgnomecanvas 2.4.0-1.i386] [deps: libgnomeui 2.4.0.1-1.i386] [deps: gtksourceview 0.6.0-2.i386] [deps: libgnomeprintui22 2.3.1-2.i386] [deps: ots 0.4.1-1.i386] Is this ok [y/N]: -----------< snip >---------- It LOOKED like the upgrade went right - no error messages. But in the end, abiword 1:2.0.0-3.i386 won't run with the error: [cliff@sherman cliff]$ abiword abiword: relocation error: /usr/lib/libbonobo-activation.so.4: undefined symbol: ORBit_skel_class_register I guess I'd better find the right list for RHL 9 and rawhide questions.<s> Meanwhile, your daily build did _seem_ to do the job. Thanks, Cliff Kent
