Here is what I would suggest. the rpm updates go in first. but make sure you get the librpm404 updates from here: ftp://ftp.rpm.org/pub/rpm/dist/librpm404 as well. that way yum 1.0 has something to stand on in order to manipulate the rpmdb. then update yum to 1.97+ That should do it. you might be able to do all of that in one step, I've not actually tested it. let me know the outcome. -sv
